1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the app, and information received from third-party sign-in providers.

Account information, such as your email address and password
Profile information, such as your username, date of birth, and age
Team and match information you create, including team names, descriptions, match details, notes, and related participation data
Community information, including communities you create or join, community matches, scores, and player-of-the-match votes
Chat content and moderation-related information, including messages, reports, blocking actions, and support requests
Information you send when contacting support
Location information, when you grant permission, to support nearby match discovery and related features
Technical and usage information, such as app events, screen views, device and app metadata, and crash or diagnostic data
If you allow notifications, a push notification token for your device, your app language, and Live Activity tokens on supported iPhones

2. How We Use Information

Create and manage your FutFind account
Authenticate users and support sign-in with email, Google, and Apple
Show nearby content and enable location-based match features
Create, manage, and display matches, teams, requests, and chat features
Provide safety and moderation features, including blocking, reporting, and account deletion
Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
Monitor, improve, and analyze the performance and usage of FutFind
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights

Legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis for using personal information, we rely on:

Performing our contract with you (our Terms of Service): to run your account, matches, teams, communities, chat, and notifications
Your consent: to use your device location and send push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings
Our legitimate interests: to keep FutFind safe, prevent spam and abuse, fix crashes, and understand how the app is used so we can improve it. We weigh these interests against your rights, and you can object to this use (see Section 8)
Legal obligations: to comply with the law and respond to lawful requests

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information with service providers that process it on our behalf to run FutFind: database, authentication, and server hosting (data stored in Singapore); app updates and push notification delivery; sign-in with Apple and Google; maps and place search (receives your search text and the approximate area being searched); product analytics; and crash and error monitoring.

We may also share information:

When you choose to interact with other users through teams, matches, requests, or chat
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
To protect the safety, rights, or property of FutFind, our users, or others
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

4. User Content and Visibility

Some information you create in FutFind is meant to be visible to other users in order for the service to function. For example, your username, team participation, match participation, and certain team or match details may be visible to other users depending on the feature you use.

Chat messages, reports, and blocking data are used to provide messaging and safety features. Moderation-related data may be reviewed as needed to investigate abuse, policy violations, or support requests.

5. Analytics and Diagnostics

FutFind uses analytics and diagnostics tools to understand product usage, improve features, and detect crashes or technical problems.

These tools may collect event names and feature usage, screen views, app and device metadata, crash or error information, and screen recordings of some app sessions.

Analytics events and screen recordings are linked to your account ID, not your name or email. Recordings hide the text you type, photos, chat messages, your email address and your date of birth, but can show other things on screen, such as usernames and match details. We configure these tools so they don't receive your email address, date of birth or chat messages, and we limit the collection of other unnecessary personal information where practical.

6. Location Data

If you grant location permission, FutFind may access your device location to help show nearby teams, matches, and related content. We store your most recent location on your account so nearby results work when you return; other users can't see it. You can control location access through your device settings.

Match and request features may also store location details you choose, including coordinates or selected places, so those features can function correctly.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide FutFind, operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and support safety and moderation features.

Some information may be retained longer where necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

How long we keep specific information:

Your account and content are kept until you delete your account
When you delete your account, we delete your profile, sign-in details, chat messages, the matches you created, team memberships, follows, blocks, notification tokens, and reports you made or that were made about you. Community matches and their results stay with the community so the other players' records remain accurate, but your name is replaced with "Deleted player."
We keep the times you created matches, communities, invitations, and invite links for 24 hours to enforce daily limits
Analytics and crash data are kept only as long as needed to understand how the app is used and to fix problems, and then deleted
Backups and logs may keep deleted information for a short time until they are overwritten

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent you have given without affecting earlier use.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@futfind.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

You can currently:

Update certain profile information in the app
Control location and notification permissions in your device settings
Delete your account in the app
Contact support at support@futfind.com

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

FutFind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sign-up asks for your date of birth and blocks anyone under 13. Where the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to the use of your personal information, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use FutFind. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and address the issue.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates. Your account data is stored in Singapore, and our analytics, crash monitoring, maps, and app update providers process data in the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws than where you live. Where required, we rely on our providers' data processing terms, including standard contractual clauses, to protect information that is transferred.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
